Billy Kids provide a sustainable source of red meat which is a healthy and tasty red meat which is becoming more popular in the UK.
The Billies that we raise here arrive at about a week old and are kept on milk for six weeks. Once they are weaned they are moved outside onto pasture where they are free range.
Kid meat is low in cholesterol, high in iron and is savoury and less sweet than beef but slightly sweeter than lamb.It can be prepared in a variety of ways, such as curries, stews and roasts.Our meat is produced from young stock between the ages of 7 and 12 months.
